Pragati Maidan, New Delhi: India Warehousing Show 2013, India’s biggest event on logistics industry run by Reed Manch Exhibitions, concluded on May 4 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Spanning an exhibition area over 8937 sqm and hosting over 170 exhibitors including participants from India and represented companies from China, Italy, Germany, Japan, Middle East, Taiwan and US, together with 8937 trade visitors from over the world, IWS 2013 received applauds from the industry. More than 250 products and equipments were displayed. These figures reinforce the global influence and brand strength of India Warehousing Show.

The diversity of the sector was noticed in the event through exhibiting companies from Automation, Packaging, Materials Handling, Automation, Construction Equipments, Commercial Vehicle and Storage Solutions
On-site, exhibitors and buyers conducted negotiations and shared valuable information. Energy conservation and environmental sustainability were also seen on the agenda and many participants proactively promoted it.
Several of the attending international trade associations and partners have supported India Warehousing Show over the years and speak highly of the event. “Visiting IWS was a wonderful experience. I had sent over 10 patrons and associates over three days of the event and the experience remained unaltered. India Warehousing Conference was a series of highly engaging panels and discussion sessions where the latest technology standards, effective supply chain processes, containerization for industrial needs and various methods to mitigate risks involved in a warehouse were disseminated to industry practitioners. These sessions allowed participants to share best managerial practice, operational standards and cost reduction methods.
The conference was well attended by professionals from various sectors including Logistics, Retail, Energy Conservation, Agri Business, Consultants and Brokers.
A new addition to the conference was a complimentary site-visit to MJ Logistics facility in Palwal, Haryana, which was highly appreciated by the participants.
“We put in a lot of forethinking and effort into India Warehousing Show and co-located activities to open up new horizons for the members of the warehousing and logistics sector. A targeted VAP Program also took place to focus on nearly 500 senior professionals across the industry to create business opportunities. An on-site lounging area, Spiritz cafe – hosted by IndoArya, was also created for VAP members to carry out business match-making in a more relaxed environment”, said Mathur.

The team is now gearing up for the regional version of the show which will take place in Chennai Trade Centre, Tamil Nadu, on 7-8-9 November 2013.
